INFORMATION FROM CITY HALL

Regarding Nankai Trough Earthquake Temporary Information (Massive Earthquake Warning)

The Japan Meteorological Agency issued a "Nankai Trough Earthquake Emergency Information (Caution for a Massive Earthquake)" at 7:15 p.m. on August 8th, but as no abnormal phenomena such as a large-scale earthquake have been observed to date, the government ended its "call for special caution" at 5 p.m. on August 15th.
However, as the possibility of a large-scale earthquake occurring has not disappeared, we must continue to be prepared for the occurrence of an earthquake.

In preparation for the occurrence of an earthquake, it is important to take regular measures such as "securing furniture, etc.," "checking evacuation sites and routes," and "confirming the means to check on the safety of family members etc. (knowing their whereabouts)."

Pay attention to future disaster prevention information that will be announced.
For information on evacuation preparations, please check the Cabinet Office Disaster Prevention Information page.
