Murasaki Shikibu's brush strokes ～ Ishiyama Temple and Genji Memorial Service ～
The first of the sponsored Noh performances in the new year, "Genji Kuyo (Memorial Service for Genji)," a play related to Omi, will be performed as a special event. This is a very interesting Noh play in which Murasaki Shikibu, the author of "The Tale of Genji" ・, makes a memorial service to Genji and explains the merits of the Lotus Sutra in the setting of Ishiyama Temple in Omi.
